it looks like it has low amplitude and it doesn't look that you didn't wind or something usually in this position the amplitude is higher than the side positions so maybe you have near 200 amplitude on another position?give it some wind and see if its get up I don't know much about 3235...

Can i get some help with this timegrapher reading? VS3235

I thought an amplitude of about 220° is decent… and it’s better to be a little higher than lower than that. But not sure. But if I’m right the timegraph measurement seems to be fine?!
But I also read something about 300-330° is normal. So interesting question here

Did some research about that and referring to a post in another forum, where someone gave his watch for revision to a Rolex dealer he was wondering about having an amplitude of about 220-240° after service and fully wound… he asked the dealer and he told him it should be minimum of 200° and maximum 300° (for cal. 3135)… but found nothing about VS3235

You cannot compare the vs 3235 to a gen 3235, better to see what the other owners have got for their vs3235 to be more relavent.

Yes, I know… that’s the reason why I mentioned it… I thought maybe interesting anyway to have some information about the amplitude of the gen movement 😅

I think you are ok just you have a little low amplitude... becouse this is position usually reads the highest but maybe if you wind the watch a little bit it will go 250... I think gen 3135 with no much wound (1/3 of its fully wound) must be 220-260 and if its fully wound 260-310 but its not like VS3135 ofc....

I think this is the most common amplitude for VS3235. And most watches i’ve seen here had between 260-280

The lift angel is wrong on the time grapher. It should be 55 degrees for the vs3235. Having the lift angle set to low causes the calculated amplitude to read low. Your watch is fine. Perfectly health. Enjoy it.

I’d like to throw another question in here…

I already approved this QC, so shouldn’t be a problem. In the lume pic the colour seems way to greenish I think.

What’s about your VSF Subs? Is the colour correct? I have the ARF V3 and there it’s the same - colour is a bit off and slightly greenish, but in this pic the VSF seems even more off.

I saw now that mine have the lift angle set to 59 degree

That's not good. Increasing the lift angle is a sneaky way to make the amplitude look bigger than it is. Amplitude numbers can only be compared if the lift angle is set to the same number for both measurements.

On my QC there wasn’t even a lift angle shown…

Yeah the lift angle is probably hidden somewhere in a settings menu. But also, that's an 11XXXX series submariner, so not the vs3235 movement we've been discussing above, but rather a vs3135 movement -- a very different movement.

That is very interesting. You almost always see the 52 degrees setting on timegrapher photos for these. Thank you for pointing this out.

It’s not a big deal unless you’re specifically diagnosing something. Just important if you’re comparing two of the same movement to have the same lift so you can compare apples to apples.
