Daytona black hand

This is a genuine Rolex chronograph hand for the big second for a daytona - very rare and hard to get (they say).

I Think about change to it for my Daytona 116519 panda dial.

Dont like the (often used) red hands, it is to shiny … but I guess, this single black hand would look great !?!

Hm, don’t know - can’t do this by my self anyway, so just the hand for the beginning

Funny is that I didn’t know until last week that Rolex ever produced black chronohands anyway.

So, surprised by it and in love immediately I decided to try


The watch is all genuine from 2001, changed dial, and now will change bezel and the hand - so don’t wanna ruin it by coloring the lume

Very nice mate! Then you should keep it as is, or at least try it a few days with the black hand and see how you feel about it.

Are you sure it's straight from Rolex though and not some aftermarket work from DiW or MAD Paris, Blaken, etc?

I saw KJ's visual of the black hand and couldn't resist doing a version too. I've tried to closely match the black subdial colours as seen through the crystal.

Ack sorry bro. Ignorance is bliss but you would have seen it soon enough I think, especially in pics. Maybe your watchmaker could have the hole surround rhodium or WG plated? I'm sure such skills exist.

I did some research because of the everose-gold hand.
Rolex used the black hand for the 116505 … and therefore the base indeed was Everrose/Rosegold

Regarding the fact that I didn’t notice the color all the time and obviously noone else did on the pics (except KJ2020) I think about keeping the hand and ignore the golden middle

Or, and that is more possible, I search someone to plate the middle part in WG :byebye:
