Hi all,

I'm looking for a DJ 41mm with a smooth bezel on an oyster bracelet and unfortunately the only one I can find is done by VSF https://trustytime.io/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_294&products_id=22655

Since the likelihood of this being available any time soon is unlikely, I was wondering if anyone knows of other factories doing the same configuration? I was hoping for a cheaper BP version so I'm hoping something is out there.

Thanks in advance.

The GMF factory also makes the smooth bezel DJ41 with oyster. It's not quite as nice as ARF or VSF but it'll satisfy the itch.

Thanks mate, I'll search for that version. Might be the only option available for quite a while.

Cheers

InTime has the BP factory 126334 on an Oyster that has the option of a 2813 movement at 21600vph, an Asian 2824 at 28800vph, or a ETA2824 at 28800vph. Prices are (as of today) $208us, $258us, and $478us. I have a 126334 on order from them, the Asian 2824 version. Got notice it shipped a few days ago. I expect it probably with take a month or so from PRC. I really like the smooth bezel DJ 41 in blue. Very classy IMHO. Really looking forward to getting it. Link below. Best of Luck!

Thanks for this, really appreciate it. Just what I'm after too with the ETA option.

Cheers.

Do you mean 'Swiss ETA' version? Most here will advise against that. BP "Swiss' movements are quite infamous for being a dirty hodge -podge of old Swiss and Asian parts.

You're prolly better off with plain old A28XX.

^ I would agree but for a different reason. The Asian 2824 is 28800vph and $288 (note the price change.) The 'Swiss' ETA is 28800vph but $478. I can't cost justify the extra $190 for what is probably just a decorated and kluged together ETA2824. And I don't care what the movement looks like as long as it is 28800vph and functions appropriately. The Asian 2824 is a workhorse movement and has been around a while so will probably be reasonably reliable. Correct me if I am off base but I think the A2428/28800vph for $288 provides much greater value per dollar than than the $478 version.

For me I usually like to save the $100 and get the 2824. I've been reluctant to use the Rolex clones, but I do have some VSF Subs with them and they work great. A lot depends on the different type of Rolex clones, some are better. That's above my pay grade.
If I want a real ETA ,I'l go to BK and pay the extra $200 but be assured to get one.

Thanks, I've heard of the good work BK does. Although the opposite winding issue kind of bugs me, I think you're right regarding the 2824 and it's a safer bet too.

The A2824 is a solid movement and IMHO would be more reliable than a cloned 3235. And it runs at 28800vph. That's the one I'd go with, but its your choice. I just can't justify the extra cost.

Thanks, it's definitely a large sum of money just to have it wind in the correct direction and I'm worried about potential repair issues down the track that would be easily addressed with the 2824. Cheers for the advice.

BK is a modder on almost all the Fora. Sells mostly Rolex, main mod is replacing Asian movements with Gen ETA. It's not cheap but probably only way to be sure you get a true Swiss movement in a rep.
