Observation from the boutique:

The carbon with wavy pattern is actually thin slices layered with even thinner quartz laters. Its why some of the stripes are shiny or wet looking.

The watches are super light weight. I saw both the carbon zebra (RM53?) and titanium. There were 13 watches in the whole store that were either round or ladies.

The ones they showed me are customer watches.

Last time I was in vegas I stopped by the Richard Mille boutique. The second I pulled my phone out to a photo they immediately came up and told me "no photos in the store". The only photo I was able to get was an RM011 that was in a display window from outside the store.

Oh wow, never knew they were that cautious about taking pics.
