Lol what? What is complex about this movement? It has zero complications, no chronometer, etc. It's a basic hour/minute/second hand movement. Literally as minimal as a gear train can get.

$20,000 for a rep movement is outlandish.

with something like this they are fabricating parts and incorporating movements to try and make it as accurate as possible for a watch that is not as in demand as something like a Rolex. It would be easier for them to do something like a RM10 where they would have to do less work and research than this to produce better results of accuracy. If it was not that complex and in demand, don’t you feel we would have a clone movement by now for around $1000 more or less?

I am but obviously haven't got one yet. I will be happy with a decent RM11 but this will also be awesome of course. Finally no deco plates!

I really hope ZF will be the ones to put it in their case so we won’t have to wait forever for it to have an accurate case.

I hope they fix the spelling of MILLE

I noticed that too...

Imagine how disappointing it would be to have all of that work done for a nearly perfect, ultra-expensive, superclone RM movement, for it to end up having a spelling mistake in the damn brand name.

Not planning on getting an RM superclone, but I'd still be disappointed if this problem isn't solved.

No one is paying $20,000 for a rep movement. That's a fairy tale. The finished mass produced product will be anywhere from $800 - $1200 like the current RMs.
Didn't see the recent AP clone movement or Rolex movement sell for anything more than the previous versions.

$20,000 for the rep RM movement was posted in this thread.

I think the $20k one is with gen movement, not clone one, just have no idea where did they got gen movement from.
I'll buy the gen movement for $20K.

I think they will definitely start the price higher than that, but it will drop after they could sell it to everyone who is willing to spend more than is actually reasonable.
Depending which factory is selling the product im sure prices above $3000 are very likely possible.

Sorry, dont want to be harsh, but thats just bs, the watch is currently priced at $350k - 400k and although the movement is not that special, its still the main price factor, and thinking they would sell a gen movement with a more or less decent case for this price is just... well ist not going to happen.

Could you explain the link in between the watch market price and cost of manufacture? Because in my book there is none

The relation is just nonsense, and if you dont see that you should for sure see an eye specialist. If you get a gen rm movement of the 055 for 20.000 alone you are pretty lucky, but thinking a factory buys them, and then builds a high end replica out of that and still making profit for this price is just... its already hard to get facking rm wristbands, your comment is just wrong on so many levels...

Who is selling RM gen movements for US$ 20,000, post supporting information for that claim.

This just shows how little you know about the watch industry. But please keep up posting, it is entertaining
