Flat insert? How to make it taper again

So your aluminium insert is flat and you're tempted to sand it down in order to fit the bezel. NO! There's an official tool for this but an Rolex watchsmith told me a DIY method: Use the long neck of wine bottle and use your thumbs to evenly apply force on the outer edge. Do in small increments and the taper will come back.

It's genius to be fair and best of all, it works.
