QC help...Are my eyes playing tricks?

It happens all the time. At least you were sharp enough to ask for another photo instead of rejecting it. These pictures are always taken at an angle so there will always be some distortion. There will never be a perfectly centered and aligned QC photo. Enjoy your watch.

Looks good, mate. The bezel/insert alignment is often bad with the SMPs, but yours is great.
