Hi, i'm looking to purchase my first, i have a particular watch that i am looking for which is the Rolex Daytona. I'm looking for something like this https://i.pinimg.com/originals/01/ee...13baed8df4.jpg or https://www.frostoflondon.co.uk/watc...ck-dial-p31289. All black rolex daytona.

I've gone through the guide and the trusted dealers and searched for this particular watch and come up with a list of possible options from what i could find.

There are few options here, as someone who is inexperienced with buying these, from what i can tell they look quite similar, but im sure the quality of each one will be different based on the description.

So im hoping someone who is more knowledgeable here could tell me not necessarily which one i should chose, but which one is likely better than others. So i can narrow it down and eventually decide on one.

Any Daytona replica with the A7750 movement will be too thick compared to a gen, therefore I can't recommend any of your list.

I wouldn’t be worrying too much about details like the watch being a tiny bit thicker than a gen. These special edition watches are rarer than hen’s teeth and you’ll go your entire life (several lifetimes, if you want one of these because it fits with your lifestyle as a daywalker) without encountering someone wearing a gen, so who cares?

My suggestion would be that you compare prices (including shipping), find which TD’s is best, and then email them before putting down your money, to ensure the watch you want is definitely available. Pretty much any TD can get any rep that’s available - so you could also try sending a pic or link to Marvellous Replica or Mary, who often have the best deals.

The other thing I would suggest is that when you get your dream Daytona you avoid playing with the chrono buttons, if you want it to continue working.

get a classic noob 4130, don't waste money on this fat 7750 crap

Yeah, spend twice the amount on a watch that's not the one you want, and will also cost $200 to service! In fact - don't bother with this watch you specifically like at all - get a SUB!!

Well, this is his first rep, no reason to go for an unreliable rep. Also, there is no good PVD coated daytona rep, if he wants the second best/closest he should either go for arf or noob, there really aren't a lot of other possibilities, the 7750 daytona reps are too fat to be acceptable.

All fair points, well made. I mean, I’m with you - I’ve had several PVD coated reps and no longer own any of them, because they were all sub-par. Nor am I a fan of these esoteric special edition Daytona models, as again, I’ve tried them but they don’t appeal to me personally.

I’m just not one for attempting to impose my tastes on others. But there’s nothing wrong with trying to set the OP on the path to enlightenment.
