It's based on the avatar. The shiftier or more sinister the avatar, the dodgier the member.

you would have to read back through there posts, and check out feedback in the sales section, but i would concentrate on building your own feedback, because if they see you are not a regular active member,you will not need to worry about them, as they will likely sell to a more active established member.

There was a feedback system at some point, it's on the never ending to do list of things to resurrect.
You can check the member feedback area in the sale section in the meantime
