This is a bit of a niche question but I suspect many must’ve have thought about it before.

I’m brainstorming a Zenith Daytona build and there are many stellar examples on here which are too rich for my blood.

Has anyone tried putting together a gen spec 16520 dial (e.g. Yuki dial)onto a 7750 with seconds @9 movement? Would it be compatible?

I know the 7750 won’t fit in a gen spec case. But I’m curious to know if the subdial spacing is similar betweeen 7750 and caliber 4030/El primero 400?

Has anyone been mad enough to try it? Any info much appreciated!

Also to add: I have tried searching the answer on here, RWG and google. No concrete info available.

I thought about that build too, but I gave up because I couldn’t find a “thin case” to go thru without the Gen zenith movement.

Subdial spacing is totally different...
There are some modded 7750 for the zeniths that have the same subdial spacing but are even thicker than the normal 7750.
You have to search for the zenith movement, you can find it for 1000 euro sometimes.
Then using a rep dial for that kind of build is not good, they are not good rep dials. So there goes a lot of euros...

Not what I wanted to hear but my sanity will no doubt thank you for this!

Are all the subdials off, or is it just the 6 o’clock subdial that is incompatible?

Because if the 3 and 9 o’clock subdials are compatible, I’m not too fussed about the 6 o’clock one ;)
