Generic Brand "Swiss-Made" ETA Movement?

I have been looking into switching out my A2824 movement, since the cost of service seems like not much different from a new gen ETA movement + movement swap labor.
Where I live, we have a reputable watch-part vendor. They have the Gen ETA 2824 movement for sale, but they also have a "Swiss-Made Generic Brand" ETA 2824 for sale as well for $50 ish cheaper.
Has anyone come across something like this? If this is a thing, would it be as reliable, or a good substitute for the gen ETA movement?

All ETA movements are made by ETA (a swiss company) The only other swiss made movement competitors are Sellita and Soprod

There is nothing called "Swiss-Made Generic Brand" ETA. If ETA doesn't make it, don't call the movement ETA. Companies in Asia do make clone of the ETA movement though. The Asian 28284 clones after service are quite reliable though.

I have heard from other watchsmiths around the area saying that they are a legit business. They have it listed Generic ETA, but also says it's Swiss made.
I knew about all of the things that you mentioned, but was curious what these guys meant.

No such thing as a ‘generic ETA’ - ask him what he means. The Chinese can get away with ripping it off - but in Switzerland? Never.

As mentioned by me and Muiramas, there is nothing called generic ETA. The lowest price on internet for a brand new gen ETA 2824-2 from reputable sellers is around $150-$175. What JBorel is selling is probably a clone (made by Seagull) but with a jacked up price.
