Can anyone ID this movement? Asian?

I have a watch that needed a little work and upon taking the back off, something seems hunky ???? even for a rep!

Watch is available with either a Gen Swiss ETA2836, or an Asian 2813.
Watch has a "Rolex" stamped rotor, but isn't a Rolex obvs.
Any input on what the movement is? I know its a 2836-2, but is is it Swiss or Clone?
Have I been stuffed for the Gen ETA price, and had a clone shipped to me?
As always any info will be appreciated.

Well, the movement has the ETA stamp, but it looks very dirty. Probably a Chinese refurbished (cobbled together) movement.
It really needs service.

100% agree on the actual cleanliness of the movement.
It will be serviced fully asap.
Glad it seems to be a gen, albeit refurbed ETA.
It is actually keeping quite good time at the mo too!

Yup. Most likely a ETA main plate and clone parts or bits and pierce of clone parts and gen ETA parts.
