Clone vs 1:1 meaning.

Hello all. Can somebody please explain the meaning when a watch strap is described as a clone strap? Forgive my ignorance but I assumed all replicas were clones as they are made by copying an original? Maybe some terminology I am not understanding? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help further my knowledge into the rep world. Have a good weekend guys!

I can remember when the first clone rolex movements were being offered by trusty way back when.. I don’t believe the rep watch companies will ever build a true 1:1 I do however believe it’s possible.
