Rolex 21mm strap question

Hey guys.

I'm the proud owner of a noob explorer 2 42mm CHS. It was my first decent rep and IV always loved it.

A few months ago I ordered a cheap eBay rubber strap and tried it out with the noob clasp, I should of known better, cheap is cheap for a reason, it felt and looked horrible.

RubberB make lovely straps for Rolex watches but are pretty expensive. One has just come up for sale here m2m for a great price but it's for a 21mm lug width deepsea.

My question is is will the 21mm rubberB for a deepsea fit my 21mm lug width explorer 2 case or are the deepsea lugs thicker?

I have attached both pics of a rubberB on explorer 2 and the one for deepsea, if you notice the style of the band is slightly different (I think the deepsea band looks better personally, slightly more chunky) so if the case size is roughly the same then I'm hoping it will fit my watch.

Here is a picture of a deepsea bracelet I found here for sale and a picture of my noob explorer 2 bracelet.

I think the lug width looks much bigger on the deepsea bracelet to mine.

How much difference will this make to the fit of the RubberB on my watch?

the side parts that surround the lugs in the first pic, they will leave gap in the explorer the way i see them

Well I managed to get the rubber b fitted to my explorer 2

The fit isn't perfect and I had to use skinny spring bars to reach the original lug holes on my explorer 2 case. I think I'm gonna try to slightly modify it to fit a little better.

It bulks up the watch a little which I quite like, and the deepsea glide lock is a nice addition.

The Rubber B strap protrudes too much at the end of the lugs of your Explorer II. I would've gone with the strap shown on the first picture with the Explorer II.

I got this super cheap m2m so I didn't really have the choice of the proper explorer 2 RubberB unless I wanted to pay new RubberB prices. (And I could buy a new nice rep for their price for a strap)

I like the wings either side of the lugs, granted they are protruding a little, I'm going to do some research and see if there is a way to reshape the rubber without leaving it looking like IV hacked it to bits.

PureTime sells rep RubberB straps. Around $58.00 last time I checked.

I see that there are rep RubberB straps for Panerai watches now on PureTime, does anybody have any experience with them? Are they a firm rubber or soft like the real ones? I ask because I have a PAM111 that came with a rubber strap and the rubber is MUCH more stiff than a gen rubber strap. I've heard the rep rubber straps for the new Omega's are real soft, hopefully the RubberB ones are as well.

Are there any proud owners of the rep RubberB straps that can chime in?
