I’ve just done a deal with a member in the USA I live in the UK we going to use USPS to ship but what’s the best way to list the items et cetera to ensure no customs any help would be appreciated

Will marking it as gift or sample do any good?

‘Timer’ / ‘clock’ / ‘toy clock’.

gift can be percieved as valuable.
sample can provoke interest.

gift and say its either for repair, or just put misc. clock parts. and value under 20GBP or else parcelforce will hold it at customs and make you pay VAT. Be careful of the exchange rate also because last time I put $25USD and it was over 20GBP so it got stopped
