Day Date replicas

Who makes the best Day Date 2/40mm? I have looked into it and all I see are decent cases and bracelets but the dial, calendar and dw are all messed up. Do you think it would be possible getting a decent Day Date and then adding genuine calendar, dial and dw to it?

I think ARF makes the best day/date, and you should replace the bold font DW.
My only concern with ARF is the movement - it will need service shortly to keep ticking.

ARF does not make a DayDate....they do make DateJust, however.

Only thing I did was add a BK DW, but one could also add a gen Day and Date wheel as I believe some modders can do it on an ETA movement.

I'm thinking to pull a trigger on BP 40mm daydate from Trusty. I do have small wrist, so I'm really curious how 36mm would look.

Tried 36mm and 40mm at the rolex store but 36 looked too small lol. So I ended up getting 40 and it’s perfect!

For you guys with big wrists (mine is 8.25"), you'll need extra links unless you don't mind a tourniquet on your wrist .. I needed 2 links for the 40mm BP DD ..

gatchy see below, as promised. It's a lovely looking thing but the bracelet does let it down a little (very light). Fingers crossed the plating holds up, although it will be a fair weather watch so will only get light use

I asked my watch smith a while back if this would hurt a watch doing this .. he said it would wear out the day and/or date change gears faster ..

Is it true I should never change day & date during 2200 PM and 0200AM because the date disc is engaged in advancing and during this time you could damage the gears?

Nice, congrats! I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a white dial one as well. I'm still confused because I would love a daily watch (I was thinking AP), but I really like this DD for special ocasions.
