I keep the nice free Swiss railway clock app, Mondaine, on both my Android and IoS phones and use that for getting the initial time correct after I've tweaked the watch with the assistance of a Timegrapher.

I first resize the bracelet, then set the time (I use ClockSync for Android). Then I usually wash it with soap and lukewatm water and wear it.
