I'm interested to hear from you watch enthusiasts what you'd class as a casual watch? I'm new to watches but learning a lot. I'm not a shirt or suit kinda guy I work in construction so don't wear watches daily, what style of watch would you say is more casual? Also what kind of straps would you say are more smart or casual?

From what I've seen so far I really love Omega Aqua Terras especially the GMT. I like it with both SS strap and the nylon..

Explorer 1, preferably in 36 mm, on a SS-bracelet is the ultimate casual watch!

If I'm going casual I'll either wear my explorer 1, one of my seamasters, or one of my speedmasters. Sometimes I might mix it up and wear one of my panerai and a textile with velcro strap as pictured below.

there are numerous choices to enjoy, don't you have any "specs" about your everyday needs? (protective shirt, hi visibility in sun etc.)
In few words; everything with sport or tool character will be fine.

you can check Sinn gmt also since you like the feature.

Most watches that aren't gold or TT will be casual. I've seen quite a few people locally wearing Patek 5711's with jeans in casual environments

Casual watch = watch I am comfortable wearing on outings with friends/family. At the moment, my fav casual watch is the Explorer I recently acquired from a gent here. It is very comfortable with a nice leather strap.

Good choice, however I would research the movement more closely. Do you actually require a GMT function? A three hand movement would be more reliable IMO.

My go to casual watches:
Breitling Avenger Seawolf...has a big wrist presence

Breitling avenger II GMT, usually with aero or ocean racer gen straps but canvas is another option

And of course the Omega Aqua Terra white dial with gen dark brown leather strap and gen deployant...love this combo

There had been reports by members of having problems with movements equipped with the extra hand. I'm not sure if the Aqua Terra uses that movement on their GMT.

Since you really only like the datejust line from Rolex, maybe a Pepsi GMT-Master on a Jubilee would tickle your fancy :matty:

I'm not into numbers on bezels either haha I'm fussy I guess..

my list of watches I love from what I've seen so far are..

Iwc portugieser

Tag calibre 5 day-date

Omega aqua terra gmt / gauss/ 150m

Panerai pam088 gmt / 253
