I just wanted to post some images of my TC 16610LV V7. This watch is legendary and known to most all in the rep world. It is arguably the best out of the box rep ever made. It still is not perfect and falls shy of the genuine thing. To take this rep to the next level, I sent it to the legendary JonJ480 to do his magic.
A little back story first. Several months back, I got in contact with TC via email and ordered a V7 extreme. no sooner than I ordered it, my teenage son had a car accident (everyone was ok). I immediately cancelled my order from TC until I could replenish some cash reserves. A few weeks later I attempted to contact TC and reorder the watch and POOF- he was gone. I missed the window to order one.
I purchased the JV 16610 as soon as it dropped from Angus thinking this would scratch the LV itch and save some money. I was sorely dissapointed and sold the watch quickly. I had all but given up on finding a TC LV as these fly off the forums lightning fast. A couple of weeks ago, I was scrolling through the sales forum very late in the evening and low and behold a TCV7 popped up. I jumped on it immediately as was able to close the deal. The watch arrived and it was as advertised! Beautiful watch and such great quality out of the box. My OCD perfectionism was still not quite satisfied so I decided to take the next step and send it to Jon.
Jon works to get the lugs in the absolute perfect shape. He gets the camfer done just as if it came fresh from the Rolex Factory Spa. He brushes the the bracelet and polishes the the edges to give that silky smooth gen-like finish. He takes the bezel and creates the beautiful vertical brushed grooves that are really just gorgeous.
I have also swapped out the insert for a gen insert. TC insert is not bad but the gen just has a more metallic sheen/color that is just not repped to perfection. I also have a gen crystal on order but it has not arrived yet. It’s not totally complete but I wanted to go ahead and share pics from Jon.
Enjoy!
