Well I don’t often post about watchmaking enough anymore, but it should be said once in a while, that the conditions and quality of rep watch assembly leave a lot to be desired.

The following pics are from your average clone 2836 movement, never been serviced, just some close ups.

It’s safe to say that if you like your reps and want to hold onto them for a few years, it’s worth having them looked after by a professional.

took my rep to a guy i know and it ran great for years after a service - i think he charged me $50 - kept great time too !!

Most reps are pretty dirty straight from the factory.

My guy was a little watch store run just by him and he was totally cool it was a rep - he even got me a new crown with the crown on it :)
