is the sharpie mod a must on the Noob V7

Hi,

how bad is the stock V7 bezel insert?

I was wondering if the sharpie mod (or equivalent) is an absolute must.

Please share your experiences

The Noob bezel sucks. The sharpie is marginally better but still sucks. Molotow mod is where it's at.

After doing a molotow mod you really realise how bad the noob bezel is.

I did yesterday myself the molotow mod.

Here you can see just after a first layer how different it looks (compare the two markers next to the triangle... one with the mod one without)

After two layers:

It a must. Today I’ll do a third layer.

I guess it just depends on how picky you are about the accuracy of the color of the insert numerals. The Noob bezel isn't close to gen, but it hasn't stopped me from wearing my Noob sub-c. The sharpie or molotow mod will make it look more like gen if done properly.

I would do the Sharpie mod but my fear is that wiping the extra color on the bezel will ruin the gloss of the ceramic, is it possible?

I did the molotow ppm on my noob V7 Hulk. It doesn’t look like gen but it’s a lot better than noob stock anyway. Here it is in indoor lighting.

Thanks! And after the mod what I've to use for cleaning?

The molotow paint can be removed with alcohol, nail polish remover and other solvents. I use alcohol-based hand desinfection fluid. To clean the watch without removing the paint mod I use a damp cloth. But I know some people wear their paint modded watches in the shower too.

My bezel insert has not been damaged from paint mod or cleaning. I have found that the 70% alcohol solution I use has no impact on the ceramic insert but cleans out the molotow paint just fine. I have not tried nail polish remover, but I know that some people use that too.

The Ceramic Insert is not damaged by alcohol or nail polish remover.... Can't say the same about the Pearl though....It might "fog" a little loosing some of the Lume Power due to the lack of Sapphire protection...

I cant understand if the marker color in the 114060 is more silver or White, i found so many permanent marker color in italy but i cant decide which is the best kind of color, any suggestion ?

what is closer to gen?? spongebob? USD plating?? or..... sharpie is a NO it looks bad.. molotow is ok. i have a gen sub to hand so am comparing
