chocolito any chance you have pics of their rep? I was really bummed by that and just accepted it cause from what I read it's difficult to get a refund after you've paid. Or any advice on how to address this with PureTime?

Oh and I should add the issue isn't just with the number 2. The number 5 looks just as bad as well, etc.

Just another thing the comparison picture of the genuine watch on your post is a CGI not the actual watch . They are useless for watch compaison . On your watch the WED is too thick , but the 21 while the '"2' is wrong shape the thickness is correct . Rather than use CGI images from the Longines website , check out images of the actual watches using Google images . There are some good ones on Blogtowatch and Monochrome watches for you to compare of the actual watch in natural light . It maybe you will just have to put up with day/date disc it looks a great watch otherwise .

I had the watch chap the date wheel on mine was fine . Unfortunately while i never sold the watch i gave it to my father in law . He is in Ireland and i am currently in Uk (England) , also he doesn't know how to use his mobile phone .So no chance of photos chap . I purchased my watch ages ago when it was first put on list . I have had a look and there are lots of people complaining about the date font more recently . This happens with watches they sometimes gain faults with later versions or just for production batches when the factory use inferior parts . The watch definitely WAS worthy of being NWBIG .
TBH the date font is that BAD on your watch i'm surprised your didn't notice it on the QC ! It is a protracted experience getting a refund once you have watch . You will have to send the watch back hope it arrives etc . I think you are NEW member ? With rep watches 9/10 times you will get a spot on watch from a TD watches. however they sometimes arrive with problems a rattling rotor , a movement that needs servicing , a marker you didn't notice was off on the QC ( maybe not that off but does your head in head in when you look at watch ). My advice use one the forum watchsmiths and get it repaired/sorted yourself .
The watch you have has a clone eta, it will be extra $$$ but why don't you find and contact a forum WS and see if they can replace (locate) with a new date/day disc/s or overlay ( might be complicated by date/day ) ? Also contact PT tell them about your problem see if they can send you a better day/date disc/s for you to fit ?
To be honest this is a lesson learned do your research/due diligence ( i'm not lecturing you chap ) , and check your QC's . Before you purchased the watch you should have picked up on the current date wheel flaw and checked yours is OK/acceptable .

Thanks for the detailed reply. And during QC I bought up the date wheel but when I asked about it, Puretime said that's how they all are. So I assumed they were all that quality and incorrectly assumed RWI had a lower threshold for quality than I thought to be on the consensual supers list. So I was a bit deceived by PT cause I didn't know they did, indeed, come with the correct font on the date wheel in the past. I'll post on the Puretime thread to get some opinions and see if PT will be able to help me out. I put too much faith in them since they're a "TD". Appreciate the advice on the WS, didn't realize there's a community around that on RWI. I'll dig around and try to find one.

And good tip on the pic being CGI. The real pics show a totally different watch where the dial says annual calendar instead of automatic and shows the month rather than the day of the week. Here's an example with my rep on the right. https://imgur.com/a/syhnwjb. Thought this was due to perhaps the left pic being an updated version but now I'm not so sure. Hopefully the rep isn't completely different than what it's supposed to be

As a newbie, I purchased a JF 15703 v10 because of this thread and others

It's not a super rep, it has grey hands, the bezel number lines are too pronounced, and the strap is extremely bogus and baconlike

With that being said, still appreciate the thread.

Bro when you receive it, you will see what I mean. It's much more piss dark grey/green than the gen. I know what you mean, the gen look SLIGHTLY less white, but its not dark and gross like the JF. Also, mine has horrible scratches on it that were invisible on QC. I just don't like JF right now...

I don’t like or hate it , but it’s really not that ugly for me , you can relume it or get gen hands it’s easy, I order it after some videos and gen pics match it , but not deserve super Rep that’s not true .

It’s very old comparison since V5 or V4 , depending rubber engraving look genuine and different from JF.

By the way, the JF strap looks exactly the same, but it feels completely different. The real one is harder, keeps its shape, and much less flimsy. (I own the real one.) The JF one feels like soggy bacon and always flops around like a wet seal. Mine came malformed too, I put it in boiling water twice but it's still messed up. When it's laying on your desk the longer side just kind of lays there like a dead whale, the real one keeps its shape
