Bulova Royal Oak.

I originally bought one of these new back in the early 80's and wore it as a daily beater. And over the years it got beat. Always wanting to get another I would search eBay. I did by two others, but they were never as good as described by the seller. So at one time owning three of them I sold two and kept my original.

This week I found one that truly was as new. The guy bought it about the same time as I did and wore it on only a few occasions.

It has original box and papers.

A few weeks ago I was bidding on one that sold for UK£720 (US $1130) Even one for spares repair went for £300+

I did pay quite a high price for this, but under UK£720. It ended my 20yr search, so to me it was worth every penny

The seller was via WUS/eBay.

Your thread has made have a look at bulova watches as I'd never heard of them.
And according to wikipedia they were the first real electronic wtaches as they use a tuning fork that oscilates to keep time powered by a transistor.

I think thats pretty cool so thank you for guving me the opportuntiy to educate myself

I have also looked for a Bulova Royal Oak at a reasonable price. The reality is that they are getting quite rare and expensive.

I just stumbled upon this watch last night in the bay! Beautiful. The super Seville also has my eye, but they’re not cheap either
