These really are nice.
My problem with all of these rep tourbie's ends up being the size; they are too large by several mm in both width & height to be acceptable for me.
I love pap's watch despite the size, but the day/night indicator screams fake IMO.

Ah, really? I've never seen a 39mm rep tourbie around the forums. I'll have to do some searching. Are any of the models in this thread 39mm?

Gents, I urge to join your club...

Anyone of you has got an automatic Tourbillon such as :

Very overpriced IMO (2000$), but I got to say the vintage look appeals to me !!

Mine. This was custom made. Roland Kemmmer sand blasted the case and changed the crown from the onion crown it had.

Do the tourbillions work on the reps? Is that a stupid question?

mitch there is no such thing as stupid questions :) just more to learn and research! there are some rep watches with actual working tourbi's and others with non functional tourbi's for appearance only.

the dead give away is the price of the watch. reps with real tourbillon will be at least 500+

you can do some light research on what its all about here throughout the forums if you are interested. Some of the nicest ones are listed here in this thread!

correct! real tourbys are actual tourbillons, they function the same way their swiss counterparts do, they're just not made over there and thus not 40k+$.

Non functional tourbys are open heart movements. Basically a movement showing its balance wheel. There isnt a cage... it doesnt spin..

Ive ordered a tourbillion from the British Horological Institute that was suggested by Trailboss99 in another thread.. I can hardy wait for its arrival.. Here's the link for others that may be interested: http://www.bhi.co.uk/bhi-flying-tourbillon
I never knew that some of the reps were working models, as I've always wanted one but never assumed I could afford it.
