Skinny Wrist Club thread

I was with a buddy getting his new 42mm Omega Planet Ocean sized at my local jeweler. His wrists are just a tiny bit smaller than my 6.5" wrist. It almost didn't fit because we ran out of links to remove! It fits bit loose on his wrist but he likes it that way, and I think it looks good a little loose. I heard that 7" (17.75cm) is about average wrist size for a man.

In an effort to help our community I think we should have a Skinny Wrist Club thread, where we post ongoing wristshots of our watches on our skinny wrists. This data can help our skinny purchasing decisions. Show us your old models and newest models. Sure you can post a large PAM, or DSSD, on a 6.25" wrist. That would be great to see! It may not be acceptable to some, but others may find it just right.

Here is the criteria I would like to try to follow;

Let's see wrist shots of watches if your wrists are 6.5" (16.5cm) or less.

Please post your pics with the following;

  1. Brand/Model
  2. Diameter/Thickness
  3. Your wrist size (daily wrist sizes change slightly so try to measure for the picture you post)
Add any other SWC info you want to share.

Cheers!

Great thread. Just what I was looking for.

Anybody with a PAM111 or similar on a 6.33" wrist?

I've measured mine using a tailor's tape which showed 6.33" but I remember reading somewhere that you should add half an inch or so for a 'true' wrist size for watch purposes. Is that correct or it 6.33" for me?

I have a PAM111 and I just measured my wrist before I put it on to take these pictures for you. Some days it's 6.5" but today it was 6 and 3/8ths

I was just playing Damien Rice's Volcano :) http://tinyurl.com/9rbt7u8

Let's see wrist shots of watches if your wrists are 6.5" (16.5cm) or less.

Clearly I am doing something wrong. When I look at my measuring tape 16.5cm is less that 5":picard:

You aren't going to believe this. . .

That 5.5" estimate that I have been using for my wrist size. . . I was using a made in China tape measure. They got the inch scale completely wrong.

my wrist is not 5.5" at all, it is 7.28"

Mine is from China as well. Checked my wrist using another - it's still 6.33"! phew

Looking at PAM111, HBB v6, AP v3, 5th GenPO (42mm) and Rol Sub (but the fake stigma attached to it discourages me from buying it so is at the bottom of my wish list!).

Omeg PO shouldn't be a problem on my wrist should it? Still can't decide between 21J or clone ETA. We really are spoilt for choice in this hobby haha

@Sanakid
@Mr. Pap

Please help everyone, and stick to the OP request by posting wrist size, model, AND dimension. That's what will make this thread more useful to more people. :)

And yes let's keep it to wrist sizes 'around' 6.5" or less. You can say that the SWC is an exclusive club ;)

ayub - 42" PO will be close. Let us know if you get it!

Hi all, heres a 43mm/14mm Breit Navitimer on a 6.5 in wrist:

Btw, I've been looking at the AP diver and HBB.. and noticed there are gaps on the sides when wearing them on a 6.5 wrist. How big are those gaps? Do they look too big on a skinny wrist (6.5<)?

Great thread! I can't join, but that is OK. I think some of the bigger watches really pop on smaller wrists!

This is a fun thread! Got me to do a wristshot which is really rare!

PAM 111 on a 6.5" wrist, I was reluctant in getting Panerai but this one fits very nice on a skinny wrist, I was really surprised!
