Hi everyone,

I have been browsing for my favorite replica watch for a while. I have done research and learned a lot.

I am aware that replicas have flaws and I was hoping to get your feedback. My question is: am I too picky??

I ordered an Omega Seamaster 300 white label VSF, I went to my QC pictures and I politely refused to go ahead. I noticed that the hours markers black frame was irregular.

So... Am I too picky?

Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your reply Nono92

You are right, gen also have flaws, and considering the price difference with replicas, I believe I should be more forgiving. However, I would not feel happy wearing a watch that has the flows iShare in tbe pics.

I'm very curious the hear other folks' opinion.

Thanks

BlueLineFarmer thanks for your perspective. You are probably right, maybe I'm demanding too much from a replica! And that's why I'm asking for feedback on a established forum. However, if we don't provide feedback to TDs, then we allow factories to lower the bar on quality and standards.

At the end of the day, replicas are not for free, and sometimes prices go well above the value they actually have.

I'm not familiar with this particular rep. Is this issue known or is this unexpected? There have been reps with this kind of flaw on every copy. If it's a known flaw vs. gen then you should have noted it before buying it. All reps have specific flaws that don't match up with a gen watch and it is on the buyer to understand those known flaws before ordering. You have to research the specific factory's version of the rep and see if that's acceptable to you.

However, if you did that and this watch doesn't look like the other known samples of that same watch from that same factory, then I'd reject it. I will say that I'd want to see more angles/pictures, because these indices aren't flat. Did you get a video as well? Does it look off there?

I know it may sound picky to some as it's not a massive flaw. However, reps are way more expensive today than when I was starting out in the early 2000s. They're also massively more accurate and less flawed for the popular SKUs. So I think it's fair to expect reasonable consistency within the same factory's version of a rep.

I found the model on jtime and it looks the same as yours in pictures with similar angles. I think yours is fine.

Are you serious or are you joking about what you perceive as flaws.

RWI TD's must be scratching their head from customers like you rejecting their watches.

QCs are the bane of being a trader. Sometimes it’s just best to refund someone and move along rather than try going through 3 or 4 sets of qc pictures. Some don’t realise that most of the watches will have a manufacturing flaw and anyone who gets one without is just lucky tbh.

I'm not familiar with the watch you are buying but one thing you have to realize about QC photos: it is magnified by 100x. Any tiny imperfection seen in QC photos actually can't be seen by the naked eye.
If you are uncomfortable buying new watch from TDs (and maybe not patient enough to wait for shipping), you can buy the same watch from M2M which has been QC'd by the previous owner.

I personally wouldn't have noticed, however, the great thing about the community is that others are sharing their QC's so it's possible to understand if it's something you're likely to come by a second time if you RL your first QC. If it's a flaw in the specific watch, and it is something that caught your eye, rejecting it might have been the best thing. No point taking a watch that'll bother you for ages down the line.

I would have RL that watch, due to the fact that the triangular marker on the bezel insert is in a completely wrong position with respect to the scallops of the bezel itself.

Liek Route66 pointed out, bezel insert is in wrong position.

AND, this looks like a JVS to me not VSF, is there a caseback movement pic showing the balance wheel?
FYI JVS is of similar quality to VSF, but if you asked for a VSF you should not get a JVS... who is the dealer?

Toni from Noob watch, I'm literally having a nightmare with this TD, 2 weeks ghosting me after rejecting the QC pics.

Below the pic of case back

ShiroTenshi thanks for the feedback! Yes, the more I look at the QC, the more I'm convinced I did the right thing rejecting the watch. To follow up on your question, I posted a pic of the back case and added the name on the TD.

Thanks again everyone for responding to my post, it's a great learning.

Cheers

movement balance plate looks like a VSF, so I can't say for sure if this is a VSF or JVF, either way the bezel insert is enough to red light it.
Noob watch? I don't think he is a TD here, or in other reputable rep forums?

Now things are making more sense.

Yea... Funny he claimed a TD, I've been in the scene since early 2000s and have no idea who the hell that is. Sounds like that refund is going to be theoretical.

I think he probably heard of noob factory and thought it was a TD.
