Please help me identify this movement

Hi community,

I'm a long time reader, but first time posting. a few years ago i bought a daytona ceramic black dial replica from some overpriced site and feel like I got junk.

The watch does not do any chrono function, and is about 13.5mm thick. I have opened it up and am wondering if anyone can help me understand what movement this is.

I know it's junk. Lol... it hasn't kept time since I received. The sad part is thr rep I bought it from disappeared. Any suggestions on a movement for this? I think I want to try to build a watch using the case. Thanks in advance.

You are better off using the watch as a paper weight and getting a new rep from a RWI TD.

The watch is over 20years old and has not ever been off as far as time. Unfortunately it does not have chrono functions. Please help me identify this movement and any feedback on it would be appreciated

ST 6 chinese movement. Just buy a new watch and keep the old one for souvenir.

Depending on what movement you plan to use, but overall not a good idea, im presuming the whole watch is of a budget quality.

So for the ceramic black dial, the specs are 39.5mm x 13mm thick (Identified as a DG 3836 movement - Thank you @Hor-Fan and the old stainless steel black dial (identified as an old Chinese ST6 - Movement (thank you @ShiroTenshi. I know that the watches are junk, but would love to try and Frankenstein them and need some helpful advise. Just a hobby that I want to do and learn. Is there a budget movement that you can recommend that can be fit in both watches with chrono functions? I know the newer Chinese 4130 movements are pricey and probably aren't worth it, however I am seeing a lot of 7750 movements that have been adapted to have full chrono function while seeing their overalll thickness at 12.2-12.4mm. Do you think that this movement would work? Also Im thinking about DLC PVD the watches with some fun dials, needles, and bezels. Any advise/opinions would be appreciated for the project. Also any referrals for places to source the movements, waterproofing, custom dials, Needles, Bezels, etc. would be really appreciated.
