"Domestic" (aka china) only watches?

I saw this post on Reddit the other day suggesting that there is a high quality mechanical Reverso rep by ZF that is only sold to customers in China. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? I don't see the business rationale for it on the factory's behalf..

Sead has a Reverso listed for $350ish…
Don’t know which one, but price point suggests a decent rep. Just email him.

Li just got back to me and said he reached out to z factory, was told that it is a model that that used to make and has since been discontinued. Such a shame
