I'm looking at various watches and, before I buy, I wanted to be sure about the best movement choices. The Sub' no date for example has at least two movement choices.

If I want the most reliable movement without the need for immediate servicing or likely breakdowns in the future. I'm not too bothered about it being cloned to look like a gen movement, what are my best choices.

I realise the answer might be different depending on the watches I'm interested in but I didn't want my post to be seen as another "what is the best...'

What's the best movement then ?

Swiss ETA.

Buy a watch with an Asian 2824, have a Swiss ETA 2824 fitted if/when the Chinese one dies.
