Bad experience with PureTime. [[Not really, more of a noob misunderstanding]]

I want to buy AP royal oak 41mm, and was looking for the best rep watch on the market.
I see PureTime dealer here, So I send them a message in order to purchase the beast watch.

On the 18 FEB PureTime write me back and the recommended for JF V4, I pay on the same day by credit card for the watch + shipping 449$.

Now the problem began:

1. In my credit card, I see that the PureTime TAKE me 500$!!!
more 50$. I order online for 10 years now, never see anything like that!

2. after I was sending 3+ emails, on the 21 FEB the let me know that they do not have the watch - "is sold out and we need to wait for 3-5 days more".
In the 22 FEB, after I sent one more email, they ask me if I want another color of the watch because they did not have the watch anymore!.

3. At this point I was decided to look for another watch, I send them the link for the new watch and I asked them if they have it on stoke, they say yes, and the say that I need to pay more 30$ because this watch has cost 430$ vs the first watch 400$.

So after let me wait for a week + for the nonexistent watch, now all they care about is the f**** 30$!!!!.

more than that, they stole from me more 50$, so I say to them give me the new watch + 20$ or give me a full refund!

At this point they ask me to show them the amount of money they charge me from the credit card, I send them a pic of the amount (but honestly, they know how much they charge me. they do it by them self, don't fool me!!! - and now I see here that is not the first time - I see other people complaining about it)

I send them one more email, I do not want to have a business with them, I want my money back!!
the response was; they don't know way in the credit card is a different amount.

Bottom line, I asked the money twice!! every time the email me nonrelevant answer!!!!!!

I want everybody to know how they act!
good day everyone!

Yehuda.

You should contact puretime here on the forum first or open a helpdesk ticket. Flaming a TD openly is unnecessary and not the correct way to handle this.

The extra CC charge has been discussed on here numerous times ! Look up DYNAMIC CURRENCY CONVERSION ! In short the card processor converts your $449 in to local currency and pays PT using the current FX exchange rate . So PT gets the equivalent in local currency of $449 . The card processor then applies a poorer conversion rate to your card meaning you pay an extra $50 which the card processor keeps has payment for their services .SO PT ARE TELLING THE TRUTH they have received $449 , though they are being slightly disengenuous because they have discussed this extra DDC charge before on the forum . The rest of your moan TD's don't actually keep any stock in reality , they just know the availability of watches . Sometimes they take your payment then find a watch they thought they would have no problem sourcing is not available immediately . As professional as TD's are , this isn't Amazon you're actually buying illegal and counterfeit products . I think PT has said previously he has a problem getting a card processor to take payments in China , looks like the card processor has decided he needs to get paid .
To be honest you don't seem the most patient chap perhaps buying rep watches isn't a hobby for you .

REGARDING the extra CC amount through DCC this is a known thing when using your CC to pay for watches from TD's ( not just PT) . My credit card provider also charges a foreign transaction fee . So i got stung on the first rep watch i ever purchased i think it cost me $90 more than i expected to pay . I didn't fly off the handle or post on this forum slagging off the TD . I simply established why the watch had cost me more than i had budgeted for with questions to the TD and my bank . I then established that using my CC to buy rep watches from China was an expensive option , so now use an different method to pay for my watches . There are still fees but they are a lot cheaper than using a CC , and i understand they have to worked into the final cost of the watch .

If they charge more maybe it's because of the coin exchange.

It seems this issue has come up a number of times with PT. I am literally holding off ordering with them - because of this issue. It seems that paying via Credit Card sees more taken from the customer's account than advertised. Obviously, there are fluctuations in currency rates - but it seems that the amount being charged to credit cards is not consistent with what they are advertising. I don't think this is a "scam" by PT - I feel this is an issue they need to address with their credit card payment processor. They need to change processor and clarify this issue so that people can feel confident before buying. By, the way, it is certainly possible this happens with other TD's also. I see that most transactions by PT - most people are happy with their watch and the service has been good. I feel they need to address this payment processor issue though...

Guys, as has been explained many times before, you are buying an illegally manufactured good. The TDs have difficulty finding CC processors who will accept their business. These CC processors have fees for the transaction. It is best to pay by other means which has been repeatedly explained on the forum. I’m not surprised that somebody who joins RWI AFTER the transaction has gone south, has not had the opportunity to research the replica watch purchase process.

@YehudaVW, Welcome to RWI. You are not going to like what I have to say. You should have done your homework before ordering so you understand the process of buying Reps. PT did nothing out of the normal process of selling you a Rep. RWI always sees these 1st post wonders complaining all because they did not do their homework. You have only one person to blame ....yourself.

Here is a list of homework assignments. Spend your time reading instead of ranting. You look foolish to members that have been here a while. It takes weeks of reading before you are ready to buy a watch. This is not Amazon.

Here are some links to give you a hand. Take your time, read and use the search feature. When you first join it is a bit overwhelming. You will be fine in a few weeks. The first two links will help you understand the process of buying a Rep watch. It is not Amazon. You will need patience. If you do your homework RWI members will be more than happy to give you some help and direction.

First of all, I am terribly sorry about this my friend. Please let me know your order number and I will show you how much I actually received. We do not own the payment processor and the payment processor only gives us 95% of the listed price to us, i.e. if the watch is $500 on my site and I get only $450, I can show you in video if you want.

Secondly, I have mentioned many times on the forum that there could be additional charges to your card, even before you pay in the payment info box. If you worry about the charges and please use Bitcoin payment and you will get a discount as well.

Last but not least, if you have read my blog today you should found V5 is coming, the out of stock was because we are waiting for the V5, I think you should be happy that the V4 was out of stock :)

Sorry again for the inconveniences caused and thank you for your understanding and patience.

Hello again,

I new here as a registered member, but I'm a passively participate in this forum. Also not a beginner in the rep watches (but definitely not an expert).

Now, I see the first response from PureTime with more honesty.
So I will respond to the message from PureTime.

1.
I do not care how much do you receive!, if you tell me that the total bill is 450$ you charge me this amount, if you have any extra charges take them into account before.
it's impossible that you charge me 11% more than the exact deal (so it's not 5% like you saying) the order number is: 100156428‏.

And if you charging the customer for a watch and you don't have the watch, if the customer asks for a refund you will give him the FULL refund that he pays (not what you receive, because it's your fault, right?).

2.
About the V5, I would glad to hear about it, you can give me an update via email when the V5 will be available and I will consider if I want to wait or not.

I'm really hoping that we can work together, but you must give real info to your customers.

Yehuda.

Move along.. nothing too see here, just another eedget who doesn’t understand how illegal credit card purchases work or how TD’s work..
They don’t hold stock numbnuts, they get them from the factory as they are ordered. If the factory says they have stock when you order, it doesn’t mean they will by the time the td goes to buy it.

I can't keep saying it but I'll say it one more time. BTC solves all this, except the part of the watch being in stock.

Totally agreed. I joined in dec 2018. I spent a whole month to read and do my research before ordering from PureTime. Even got yell at by my wife because I kept reading until 3 am.

You are spending only 5% of the price compared to gen. When you are getting a 95%, discout, you either spend more time to do your homework or expect impefection.

PureTime offers BTC payment with 5% discount. If you spent 10 resd ing this section, you could have known about that 10% processing fee.

Don't sound like a guy get cash from an ATM and complain about the fee.
