the ZF ones will not fit the 3KF Aquanaut. The ZF Aquanauts are slightly bigger, since the case is 42mm, and the 3KF ones are 40mm.

The PF factory will fit the 3kf however, Andrew will sell the rubber band without clasp for $85. I plan to get a green rubber eventually

Have you tried to fit the ZF rubber strap to 3KF Aquanaut? Trustytimes website says that both case diameter is 40mm... Thanks!

I have not personally tried, that was what Andrew at Trusty told me as I asked specifically about this.

I think he was referring the 5168 which is a larger case size and 22mm at the lugs. The 5167 from ZF, KMF, and 3K cases all have 21mm lug width & straps are interchangeable.

I recently changed my KMF case & movement for a ZF case and decorated Miyota. I had no issues fitting the gen strap onto the case, its perfect.

As for the straps there are several options on Ebay and Chrono (Codes : C09,C10 & D31) . Which of the codes will fit the 3KF 5167 ?

C09 and D31 fits the 5167. The OEM strap code for 5167 Aquanaut is C09 and for 5165, it is D31. However both straps are 21mmx18mm and will fit the 3K 5167.

Do you know if the C09 and D31 are indistinguishable on the wrist, if not looking at their back for their number? I am thinking of grab one c09 and one d31 for cheap from ebay for my 3k Aqua.

edit: the d31 dates older on the 5165 so potentially there is some change in the recipe of material or others

I have purchased the D31 for my incoming 3K Aquanaut. From all the pics I have seen (i looked at many before buying ;)), couldn't find any difference in color, engravings or pattern other than the code on the back side.

However as you said, if they were from different manufacturing batches, there could be slight tolerances in color, quality etc. But that can happen even within different C09 batches.

Thanks.

By the way, not sure if you are aware of our discussion in another thread, but we found that using 20/1.8mm spring bars from Everest (for Rolex) works much better than the 3k spring bar that will produce a gap between the case and the gen strap.

Thanks for the pointer. I had read that info in the other thread and already ordered the springbars yesterday ;)
