I don't think you're understanding my point. It's not about being right, it's about preventing the spread of misinformation and avoiding newbies that may read you to think that there are "super clones" and buy from risky websites. That term is never used here so what we see is that people who use it do not have the understanding of how things work. When I highlighted that to you, instead of trying to understand and do your research here, you tried to be a smart ass by using a google query and sharing a link to a potentially dodgy website, which again is potentially misleading and dangerous for people who don't have the experience.

Now there are watches considered not worth buying in Gen (NWBIG) as well as a few considered officially super reps. There's a thread that lists them, none of the PP you mentioned are super reps.

Now maybe you could reconsider your attitude

OMG look at this, a watch expert, unlike yourself, referring to a "super clone". But thanks for coming out on your little replica watch forum.

This is a PPF, which if you read the forum you'd know is definitely not a super rep / super clone (and I own one just FYI). Mainly the bezel is too fat, the crown sticks out too much and the movement that can be seen through the see through caseback is a Miyota, that far from resembles the Patek 324.

But hey, if you don't like this "little replica watch forum", please feel free to educate yourself with real rep experts such as Jenni Elle (whose youtube videos I really like by the way). Fare well "captain"

I really shouldn't but I think someone needs to tell you Cybermorph that your attitude really sucks. Were you not socialised grownig up? If this is your attitude why are you on a forum??
If you get over yourself you might actually learn something from Tobel 's experience.
Tobel props to you for conducting yoursellf with grace.

Thanks mate. Unfortunately there will always be people who "know better" and try to look smart. Their miss, that's not how you learn.

Sure, I really need to be schooled by someone who so empathetically and self-righteously declares (without any other thing to add) that "there's no such thing as a super clone"...when clearly that isn't the "case" (see what I did there?)

But thanks again for coming out to the Rep world. FYI: that declaration makes about as much sense as a pot dealer saying "we don't use the term weed here it's cannabis, thank you very much". Anyways, lessons in Rep world always enjoyable, but I'll be spending most of mine in the real one. Cheers!

On my walk today: maybe try getting out more yourselves ????

Hey Guys, as you can tell from my ID, i'm a huge patek fan! Recently i got a 5296G from a TD, but the datewheels are not perfect. Can i get some suggestions on who have modded DWOs for purchase? Or who can i send to get a cosmetic surgery done?

Cheers!

The consensus opinion of this forum about the definition of super clones is that there are none.*
As Tobel already explained, there are some, that are close and therefore might be NWBIG.

*A "Super Clone" would be a rep you simply cannot distinguish from the rep in ANY way. Be it (besides flaws) the material or even the movement.
-> What is your definition of a Super Clone? Your examples show, that even a watch with many flaws, which have also been adressed during this conversation, seem qualified enough to you for calling them a "SuperClone".

But please let us stop here, we are derailing this thread. There are enough other threads out there, where this topic has been discussed many times and people come together finding a common denominator.
Also if you want to, dig deep in this forum, read a lot and you will learn a boatload about watches. Maybe you will change your mind a bit.

SideNote: There are some cases of reps which were made by the same and original machineries as their gen models; but the factories who were able to obtain them are long gone (so those cases would have been "super").
Years ago there have also been gen factories, where their employees illegally produced more watches of a kind (Cartier Tank p.ex.) than they were told/allowed to and sold them as "reps", altough they were gen to the bone and movement -> So they were super too, but no "clone"

Hi all, just like to know how is the rose/yellow gold plating holding up? Any tarnishing or peeling?

I just read hundreds of pages of posts here. You guys sold me haha. I appreciate the aftermarket strap information (Camille Fournet, A Collected Man, Jeane Rousseau).

I guess I'll have to wait a month to order one after CNY.

I have a ZF Calatrava 5296R in rose gold with the white/cream dial that I just bought a month ago from puretime. Everyone comments on the strap quality but I have to disagree, the strap quality is very close to gen Patek. Maybe in the past the quality was worse but on the current ZF 5296 it is great and a Camille Fournier strap is unnecessary IMO. I’ve only tried it in once since getting it so perhaps the strap deteriorates quicker than gen, I cant comment on that, but it appears to be good quality. Will be catch and releasing this one soon since I have close to 30 reps now and only two wrists!

I seriously doubt this. One thing i know fore sure is: I've never seen the chinese produce a good strap. It's never even real leather, far from alligator. You should try a Camille Fournet strap some time buddy, they are fantastic quality.

Cybermorph 's rhetoric has been implacable from the posts that I have read. The dude scolded Angus for his own credit card problem. Tough world.

Hello! Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. This thread is great and convinced me to pull the trigger on this rep. I noticed a difference however on the open caseback pics from a few different TDs. The pic on the left is from jtime, the middle puretime and the right intime. The jtime one is pretty different (jewels in different spots, screw that was mentioned as missing in earlier posts is present, screws in different places) so I'm wondering if anyone knows why. Different version? I just want to make sure I'm properly educated before I order so I get the best version. Thanks in advance.

To answer my own question, after a bit of digging and looking at various qc pics online, I believe the jtime pics are of the (current?) v3 version that came out in early 2020 and the others are of older versions.
