Hey guys,

just saw the 40th Anniversary Nautilus ref. 5711/1P on Perfect Clones. It's the one with the tombstone dial. I am unsure which maker this is, for a decorated model, the case profile looks very thin... Possibly the new V6F? Too good to be true.

Edit: Gotta preemptively deescalate - it's not the new movement.

Take a look here: http://www.pf-818.com/0036d.html

As said, that is an Miyota 9015 movement in that watch.

Nope, still the old movement :(

I think it's going to take a few months for the new V6F Patek to be released

Okay, good to have that confirmed. However, there is some good news, because they came back to the original V2 case shape. In the last months, I was told by several TD's that the decorated BP V2 5711 was not anymore availible with this case profile:

Instead, they would have this (almost 0.6mm thicker) midsection:

This new release shares the same midsection of the first batches of BP V2s.

So atleast BP is going a step forward now.

Listed on Trusty now but their pictures are showing the thicker case with the lip?

Well spotted. I just checked an older listing of the BP V2 from Josh and there he has the same profile shot as on the new 40th ani model: http://www.pf-818.com/watches/patek...umbo-ss-ss-blue-miyota-9015-mod.html?___SID=U

This, plus the TD's stating that the non-lip cases are sold out, plus Andrew selling the watch with a lip depicted, leads me to the conclusion, that the new 40th ani model features the lip as well.

Of course it does, the deco movement won't fit in the slimmer case, so this rep has the same problem as all the other recent Nautilus reps. Still, nice to see them releasing more variations, especially limited edition models like this one!!

I'd love to see a Tiffany dial Nautilus!!

Platinum Pateks have a diamond at the 6 o'clock position by the lugs and case seam, this doesn't.

I'm iffy on the indices. Probably look better in person. Otherwise nice, always liked this ref.

Looks good, but I can't pull off baguettes on my wrist.

The text on the dial is just meh to me. Takes away from the 'timeless'-ness of it

Yeah the text is hideous, they should have left it off, would have looked a lot cleaner. I'm a massive Patek fan however a few monstrosities released by them lately.

well i read shitloads of blogs about that watch (genuine), everyone was shocked by the text on the dial on the pictures but in real life it actually blends in pretty well. and the baguettes are extremely discrete. i guess on the wrist (from a meter or two away) it looks just a little brighter than the "standard" nautilus. adding a small diamond on the bezel on 6 o´clock wouldn´t be hard, diamonds that size cost around 50-70 bucks, drill a hole, glue it in with jeweller cement.

It's BP for sure..

Pulled the trigger.. waiting for the QCs. If I like it.. I'll go the extra mile and install the diamond in the bottom..

Will keep you posted

^^ That's totally true.. but in all honesty.. I doubt you would ever find a rep maker that would do it in the new size. So if you ever wanted to enjoy one, you have to settle for the normal size 40mm nautilus . Too much work to change the diamention of the watch for the factories.

44 vs 40mm

It will be a spot on for a 40 anniversary version as it's too special
