I like big watches, currently wearing a Avenger Bandit, also have a Deep sea(black face)..so the 312 is around average for me...

Panerai is and wears big. It always has until the 42mm editions came about. There were some early 40mm models in the past but they were mostly irrelevant or ignored because there was no market audience for them. My take on this is: pick the one you like and feel comfortable with. It's going to be and look bigger than a Tudor, most Omegas, Oris, Rolex etc. It's part of the Panerai look and appeal

Is it difficult to source gen Panerai parts, besides straps? I don’t see any franken Pam models around, so I gather it must be. Based on earlier comments, it would be interesting to swap gen hands and dial on this model.

very difficult. there are pam frankens out there as I have quite a few, but getting parts is nigh on impossible nowadays.

I bought a gen rubber strap for 1312 , I hope I’m lucky for one time with next batch, plan B 1441 I’m 100% sure side by side with genuine coming with correct thickness and case .

Im sure there will be the tiniest thing wrong with that one aswell.

:headdesk:

Depending price yes will not be super Rep 358$ , if there’s 1312 gen replication price should be same 441 or 1441 400$.

i have finally receive my 1312 and 1313 (and of course i have immediatly throw away the rep strap on both ... maybe the 1312 are better than the 1313 strap, but both are trash and very rough and tight)

Otherwise these watches are awesome ! like always VSF did a really good job.

So, to be honest now, Repworld has right, but in some "terms". let me explain

the REG. T.M engraving are indeed different between 1313 and 1312

BUT the 1312 engraving are not "badly" done or finished like Repworld suggest, they are just less "deeper" and more thinner than the 1313 , here some pics to highlight clearly the difference :

stop telling is BADLY engraved, it is NOT !

they are correctly engraved but less deeper and thinner than the 1313

concerning the position, it's so tiny and small that you don't even see the difference on the wirst, c'mon ...

gen vs rep from https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...xx-luminor-1950-caseset-vsf-vs-gen-comparison

i think i will ask a CG from the 1313 and put in on the 1312 and we are good !

See gen CG engraving position

I think only 441 correct CG position .

Thanks for the photo, Sharki06 !

But do you feel like the CG edges of your 1313 are softened more clearly than they were on 1312? I mean base serif and arc length.

I mean the bevel of this part.
(Forgive me for my drawing skills)
Gen has a clearly polished chamfer, rep 1312 is definitely not. This usually distinguishes almost all reps from gen.
In the comparison, you will be able to see the gen from the known comparison thread, rep 1312 and below your samples 1312 and 1313.
