Even though I said I wouldn't I had a weak movement and ordered it..
If VSF come out with a v2 with correct hands I'll ask my TD if he can just get me those parts..

The hands should be an easy fix for the modders here or not?

That dial looks nice. It looks like they did a good job of adding some texture to it like they always do. Vsf does a great job with dials. There's no doubt about that.

I haven't really looked at the gen to compare it which I'll do later but it's nice to see vsf repping some cool/nice pieces to mix it up.

I confess that I am a lover of white dials.
I had a 113 and a 114 and I miss them.
When I saw this 1314 I thought that VSF was thinking about my requests.
On the subject of hands, I am not sure that they are silver. In the photos of the official website they appear white. But they don't look painted. Rather they look lacquered. Although it may be the reflection of the dial.
Hopefully they are silver. It is relatively easy to obtain an original set of hands from a 312 and install them.
Looking at the photos I can't be sure what color it is.

As with all new additions, VSF has not been very successful with the movements. They have limited to labeling the old P9000s with P9010.
Fortunately this model has the caseback closed and it is not visible. For this reason, unlike the 968, for example, the “damage” is less. Luckily the functions are the same as in the original.

I don't think that these models are garbages, but I agree with you that VSF should consider making "lifelong" models. 187, 288, 088, 113, 210, etc. Those models that were sold so much at the time and that today many of us look for in the forums.
I honestly don't understand the reasons why they don't.

Yes but it is the light. On Panerai Forum , you can see that the hands of the Gen are not white.

Are you completely sure that this watch is gen? I am not saying this by the hands, which, as you can see in the photo on the Panerai official website, LOOK WHITE, I am saying it, above all, because the cannon pinnion of that watch looks like a first generation Chinese watch.

I don't want to offend you, mate, but did you take that photo yourself? I think the 1314 is a watch with white hands. Not painted, lacquered. That is why it is so difficult to copy them. But I can be wrong.
