Good afternoon all. Well, where do you start with all of these sites offering more wrist porn than a lazy Sunday morning in bed. Having been a lover of big watches for many years I’m finding myself in the market For a new watch, however the one brand that keeps catching my eye is Panerai with quite a price tag for genuine items, and in particular the submersible ceramic Pam508 model. So I’m hoping there is some great info amongst you all on here as to where should I be going for a replica of this model, who does the best authentic copy and and for what decent prices. I have fried my head This morning going from site to site to site and still nothing is conclusive. Looks like a huge minefield out there, so any solid advice from those in the know would be massively approeciated. (

The rep of this is classed as a super rep, one of the best Pam submersible reps ever made. Unfortunately no one makes them anymore as far as I’m aware, so the only place to get one is from another member willing to part with theirs.

May be worth trying a want to buy post to see if you get lucky. I’ve had nearly every Pam submersible rep and the 508 has remained in my collection despite letting most others go. It’s that good!

If you have a read of Ales Pam guide you will find all the info you need.

Good luck in your search

Thanks dude. Tbh the pic I posted was a stock photo from Pinterest so it could actually be a genuine panerai. So are you suggesting the watch of my choice is no longer being repped?? I’ve seen the model on countless sites today so guessing it’s still out there somewhere perhaps, I just haven’t got a clue about reps or where to get one to part cash with and trust it to be shipped half way round the world and land on my doorstep. There is a Carbotech as my 2nd choice but I just love that Matt black look.

The sites still advertise reps that are no longer in production, by all means you can ask the dealer, but make sure you don’t buy direct from the site before checking. Use the trusted dealers that are recommended by this forum.

Here are the TDs from this site https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?ur...&share_sfid=147&share_fid=16787&share_type=sf

Feel free to ask them but as Superspark mentioned, They're no longer being produced. Maybe one still has a random piece jb stock. If not, they do pop up from time to time for sale in the member forum. Just keep your eyes open.

Which Carbotech model are you thinking about?

Many thanks hazing. Tough choice between

Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 PAM616

And

Panerai Luminor Submersible 47MM PAM1616 VSF

Although the Marina Militare is a mighty fine looking watch also.

If you can accept buying 2nd hand, there is M2M (member to member) sales but you have to post a few more in order to see the section. It's not that uncommon to see it come up for sale.

For carbotech, the PAM1616 is going to be more readily available as it's newer. The PAM616 was released earlier but feel free to ask the TDs first for the availability. If you're open to 2nd hand, the PAM616 also does come up on M2M, just make sure of the version. As for which of those is better, honestly there aren't that many differences between the two so pick the one that you like the most (AND is available). Good luck!

So After a bit of searching I’ve finally found a dealer with the Pam508 Available to purchase. Is anyone familiar with Jason watch in Hong Kong and their quality?? And are Any TD’s affiliated with them.

Dealers do not define quality. Assuming that that website is advertising the actual rep, all dealers pretty much get the watches from the same factory so no better or worse. As far as I know they are not affiliated in any way with any TD. Any issue with that dealer, unfortunately staff will not be able to help you.
