Luminor Mare Pam 1085- Early Access on Panerai site

I was just scoping out some straps and noticed Panerai opened up the Luminor Mare for early access.

This is the 1085 for $5,500 usd. I know this has been released previously. Is this just this year's builds they're selling?

I don't think that this was out before. But it's pretty controversial. No Sandwich dial, pressed caseback, green lume. Not what everyone wants to have on a watch in that price class.
