Right, there is no update on the Carbotech material ever since its debut in the PAM616. Still the same 3-layer construction, the pattern will vary wildly depending on where the material was cut from the Carbotech block. But the pattern always appears that the curve opens on the right side, never on the left.

As long as it is real carbotech, it is base material. There are cheaper “carbotech” reps that are just painted stainless, if you scratch those you will see the stainless.
