983 just touch my feelings... i sure like a dark, snipper watch but 47mm? i had to hide my hand better than my head!
looks like it can protect the wrist from a bullet or two...

come on! i like it, be supportive, give some ideas to help me accept it..

i hope to see them soon in our TDs

982 is a fine piece too

There is actually a 42mm version available that does not have the flyback function (easier repability):

As for "words of encouragement," I really like the dial treatment and the color scheme is rather pleasant. This one on the other hand really chaps my ass:

Looks like a v1 canal streeter from the mid-2000's. Shabby chic? No thanks, Richemont ...

No one will believe this is a gen. Only rust can save that watch.

You help! showing the 42mm make me think how small is the dial on it (32mm?) and realize that on 47mm should be close to 36mm
and that looks comfortable, 983 is also black that shows the case like 45mm... i m ok with 47mm now.

I'm baffled by these raised lume indices with no border. Everyone who's there keeps commenting on how nice they look in person, but I just can't wrap my head around it. Either its unabashed homerism or there truly is something that doesn't translate via photographs. One of the things I've enjoyed about Panerai is that with relatively simple models, every tweak in the past seemed like an attempt to "get it right." Nearly all of the SIHH releases thus far seem like more of a shotgun approach ...

^^^ This one is the winner for me so far, despite its derivative design ...

Waiting on the Bronzo!! The radio silence is killing me ...

Yup, I'll take those 42mm subs please! Maybe Panerai is back on "the list", and the Carbotech 42mm should be relatively easy to rep.

It seems like Panerai is trying to make the Submersible line a stand-alone in conjunction with the Luminor and Radiomir. You’ll notice that “Luminor” does not appear on any of the new Subs.

If 44mm is what you’re after, I have a feeling that will be serviced within the Luminor collection. But I’ve been wrong plenty of times haha.

Some of these new models look promising. Hopefully a few will get repped properly.
