Hi guys, i planned to purchase panerai from vsf. Just wondering if their movement is reliable and easy to service?

Owned a 312 from VSF with the P9000 clone, used it as a beater, loved it. Keeps time well and doesnt really lose much time, bout the +/- 3 range (differs as factory conditions are not the best, good to service after awhile).

If you read the forums, plenty of info on it. Its a a7750 base modded to look like the P9000, probably just a decorative plate, not too sure on the full tear down. Costly to service but it'll be worth it.

The P9001 clone is similar to the p9000 clone, the PR is faux and doesn't move, so no functionality compromised.
Are there any updates for the P9001? Not too sure on that. Maybe someone can chime in on that. Reliability wise, both are fine on its own, a service is still recommended.

V2. Over a year plus. I didnt service it at all, it still works perfectly, its costly to service and its a relatively cheap rep, so didnt service it. Only problem was the loud rotor.

I noticed that on the 9001 the date is changing slowly between 2200 to midnight. So at 2300 the date is half way... Its a big tell because gen is flip right away at midnight and not moving like 7750...

Ah i see, you use it for daily? How about the crown guard lever? Will it get loose over the time?

I used it daily, only switch to others from time to time. The crown guard is nice and tight, but i didnt really adjust much as there wasn't a need to. The PR i would say about 48 hours (probably lesser) fully wounded?

Yes lots of information on the A7750 using decorative plates to look like the P.9000. That's two years old information. The P.9000 "clone movement" which already had the balance wheel @7 was released in Jan. 2017. That's no longer an A7750 movement (whose balance wheel is @11). Then it was followed by the P.9001 Super Clone V1 around March 2017 which corrected the 24-hr GMT flaw.(as the P.9000 did not have a GMT, it was not updated). The current P.9000/P.9001 Super Clone V2 movement (which again is no longer based on the A7750) improves on the V1 design by copying the gen functions.

PeterRei is an OG not to mention an avid PAM fan. When he says something, it's because he has read about it extensively. ;)

If the movement spoil next time, is it easy to repair or find parts as well? For example, a2824 is easier to repair when something happen
