I can confirm the movement is great, my watch has a charge reserve of about 45 hours, and i think it's great

Guys one question, can the GMT hand also be set or is it fixed? I'm really into this watch but I couldn't figure it out.

The GMT can be set to any time you like. Go back a few pages and it someone tells you the steps.

Out of interest, has anyone bought one of these lately? My TD tells me that the v2 is no longer available, but the v1 is....

Most of VSF Panerais are out of stock, I'm having the same problem with another model. Such a shame..

kobe24 Repworld Could you please share some information if you know when the VSF PAM438 will be back in stock? When VSF will produce it again? Thank you.

All black movement will be back in next year, 2019.

The silver/black movement, V1 will back in stock soon.

thank you very much for the answer. So the all black movement will be back in stock in next year 2019. Could you please tell little more? do you mean that Early 2019? or Mid 2019? or Late 2019? thank you.

Hey guys, I'm new here... Just a quick question... Where do I get some of these bad ass clones? Like the Tuttonero for instance?

So i am about to pull the trigger, on a Panerai 438 VSF - V2. I have seen a picture of the actual watch movement but cant confirm whether it is a a V1 or V2. The balance wheel is in the right place, but behind the balance wheel its silver, is this a v2? And is there a version with the black background out?

many thanks

Link to the watch? There are times that a TD will link the watch but won't change the picture or add a page for the new version, so even if you see a V1 (silver area behind the balance wheel) they will get you a V2 (black area behind the balance wheel). Again, this is usual TD practice but best to confirm with them before placing the order.

The last I tried to get one (a month ago) the TD's were calling the one with the silver behind the balance the V2, and the all black was not available.

Naming is sometimes tricky. The one with the silver part can be called the V2 by the dealers because the V1 is the very first Tuttonero with the decorated A7750. But the actual V2 is the one with the superclone P.9000 with the completely blackened movement and the independent hour function and the correct 12-hour GMT. Don't know how many TDs you asked (could be just one) but some would just flat out tell you it's not available.

Yip, I tried 3 or 4. Some said flat out 'not available', others tried to help with the current stock.

The pic from the release of the all black helped clear things up pretty quickly.

That's actually not the watch version but the movement version for the VSF PAM438 (the V6F PAM438 used an A7750 which had the balance wheel @11). V1 P.9001/B had switched the location of the balance wheel to @7, but still had no gen function. V2 P.9001/B movement not only had the same gen function but improved upon some visual features such as the rotor pivot as well as the plate behind the balance wheel. Anyway, if you want the completely blackened version then you should get the V2.
