Appreciate the help in advance. Looking to get a custom strap made from my 187 that literally sits in the box unworn. I am thinking it has to be on the thicker side considering the overall sickness of the entire case

As always: a Simona Bruno Allegrini diver.
Which is now called a “Museum”.
Here are two Allegrini’s with very different patina.

You can’t find hem here: https://www.distefanostraps.com/product/museum/

Or you could do a “Lo Storico” or “master Diver”

But that my opinion.

Best option would be: selling me the 187 ;-)

I'll second going with one of Simona Di Stefano's straps. The quality is top notch, the leather is nice and thick for a pam strap, and the worldwide shipping is fast from Florence Italy. She also has some great sales so it's worth checking the special offers area of her site periodically: https://www.distefanostraps.com/product-category/special-offers/

What do you like?

Everything looks good on it. It depends on what you like and want. Here are some leathers. Oh like the black Mays 74 myself.

Or the corrigia. Or the Kostas. But my favorite is the rubber straps. Especially gen. It’s very soft and comfortable on an otherwise heavy watch.

I like the rubber/accordion because I can keep it tighter than I normally would (for the weight) but the accordion gives it a little more room.

My go to for my 187 is the Simona grey Kommando with patina stitching. Other options are:

Aaron Bespoke Blue Alligator with matching stitching
Corrigia L23 Bentrovato Blue LE with Vintage finish
Linvitta Legione WWI Legend

Thanks N - The stitching on the Kommando is perfect and the grey leather is starting to patina, complementing the dial. In speaking with both Corrigia and Simonia, they both said the 187 has nicely colored indicators and best to complement it with the stitching or the leather itself.

I tried doing that with the Aaron Bespoke - the stitching matches the indicator patina and while it's hard to see in the pictures, there's a complementing blue stitch to match the 1000 number on the dial.

The leather on the Corrigia is too light for the indicators but the blue stitching is good.

Finally I thought the color of the Linvitta Legione would match the indicators but the leather is too light. This one I think, is closer.
