Piaget Polo S G0A41002 differences between MFK and 3AF versions

Hi All, as you can notice, I'm a watch neophyte..
I'm in love with Piaget Polo S, and I found 2 different versions about it on INTIME website (below the links)
I really would like to get advices/opionions about these 2 different versions :

    https://www.intime04.co/piaget/5917-...et-a1110p.html

    https://www.intime04.co/piaget/4884-...-to-1110p.html

There's a huge difference of price, what do you think about them?

    Thank you very much !!!

The cheaper one has a more reliable movement, but doesn't look as authentic.

Spooky27 first of all thanks for your replay,
may ask you to be clearer about the look of the cheaper version?
Are you talking about deal thickness ?
      thank you

I'm not very familiar with the gen Piaget watches, so hopefully someone else here can provide more insight. The normal Swiss, Japanese and even some of the Asian movements are extremely reliable. It's then that those reliable movements are modified, that they become less reliable. Think about installing aftermarket pieces on a good, stock car. While it can be done (if done correctly, with the right pieces, it's generally less reliable than stock). One of the best examples are with the subs. The stock a2824 movements are far more reliable than the SH3135, however, the SH3135 look much more realistic.

My opinion is, anyone who looks at your movement, and knows what they're doing will instantly be able to tell it's not gen. (unless heavily franked'd)

You need to decide what you are trying to accomplish with your gen. Are you trying to have a nice, reliable timepiece that resembles the style of the gen, or are you trying to trick people into thinking you're wearing an expensive watch.

Spooky27 You opened my mind to a new vision !
I agree with your first option, I’d like to get a nice rialable timepiece that looks and works like a gen.
So I guess you’re suggesting me implicitly to buy the most expensive version. right? ????
          Thank you !!!

I think you should get advice from someone who is familiar with Piaget. The only way you are going to get a watch that functions and looks like a gen, is to buy a gen.

Look into the Sub forums, and you will quickly realize that the more reliable reps are not with movements that look gen (again, unless heavily modded or franken'd). You need to decide for yourself. In my experience, generally when you spend a couple hundred $'s more on a high quality rep, it looks more realistic, but in this case it comes with a less reliable movement.

Most people buy the less reliable movements in subs for the same price as the more reliable movements because they accept gen parts, which makes modding them easier and opens more possibilities.

Don't they both have the same movement?!

I had the 3AF version for a while, it was a good watch for the money. Not seen the MKF version in the flesh though

Spooky27 To be honest because I’m a biginner your advices are very important, as well as for the ones I hope to receive from Piaget “specialist” !
Probably because we are talking about reps anyway I will consider to start from the cheapest.

                Thank U !!!
