Factory: KW/V6F
Movement: A2824
Size: 45mm
Case: Bronze with Titanium back
Crystal: Sapphire
Strap: Brown assolutamente leather strap with Tang Buckle. 23/22.
Dial,Case,Crystal, Movement
The quality of the finish is very good. Dial and Case very well done. Zenith star looks great.
Movement is very quiet.
AR could be better. Cutouts of numbers could be cleaner (when examined with a loupe).
Case Back
1. One of the etched long ovals is missing.
2. Glad to see Strap Cutaways were added.
The etches on the Gen are slightly sharper. The busy Case Back is still very acceptable IMHO.
Serial Number, Strap
Read that the Rep Serial Numbers increment with each production. If that is so, explains why mine came with well developed patina (no need to break out the chemistry set). Other folks have posted pics of their watches with numbers already in the low thousands. Mine must have just kept getting missed for a while when a factory worker selected one for a TD.
Serial Number is painted black on Rep, where Gen is just well etched.
Strap looks great, but is stiff. Normal for a Rep. This model is with a darker Brown strap, which I really like with the case colour. The edges on the Tang Buckle are correct, but a bit sharp (not shown).
Lume
Rep colour on numerals tinted bluer than Gen.
Rep colour on hands tinted whiter than Gen.
Lume is bright.
Conclusion
Worth repeating that as of this date, only movement available is the A2824. TDs selling it cheaper than the Miyota 9015 and A2892.
Appreciate the quiet movement and the hidden lug/case attachment with this model.
Case sits well on my 6.75" wrist.
Large Pilot style numbers are easy to read (for us old guys).
Friends have noticed the watch right away and complimented me on its look.
You should be able to source this item for under $400 USD.
