it was delivered during my absence so it is just today when I can review it a bit. I do own first V6 replication of ZENITH Pilot Special Type 20 in stainless steel (on A2824) so I can compare.
Quick points:
- bronze case is already starting to oxidate with the crown to follow. So everything is in bronze including crown.
- sapphire is MUCH better on bronze version than on the stainless steel version. On bronze „there is no sapphire!” effect is easy to observe while on stainless steel version it was rather milky. The purple haze from AR is identical on both sapphires so I guess it is just quality of sapphire per se.
- strap is a bit darker on bronze version which is more like on gen photos.
- caseback engravings feel even more detailed on bronze version
- the bronze version has better (more efficient) lume on dial
- the buckle on bronze version has correct shape (it is less wide than the one from SS version). I was afraid they will simply use buckle from SS version so it would be wrong for this replication
Summary: it seems like V2 version of the watch, especially with upgraded sapphire and a bit better lume. Miyota inside - great
some photos:
in a daylight:
lume:
Bottom line: it is a better watch than SS version.
