I know him really good and I know from a Franken Daytona which he made for months and he finished the watch two days ago and the customer got his watch.

The customer is from RWI, so i just hope too he will receive this franken.

hello guys, I need help
my crpo was so perfect for 3 or 4 months.
Im wear the watches every day. Yesterday I put it on table as usual at 21-00 and today I saw that it has stopped at 07-00 am. After manual winding it started work again.

Can I solve this problem, or need a new 8500 mech?
thanks for your advise guys and so sorry for my bad English))

I had a similar problem with my LMPO V6 (A2892 movement), and a good clean and an oiling of pivots sorted it out for me. I know it's a different movement, but maybe a service is all that is needed, and not necessarily a movement replacement. Mine got stuck on a full charge and small hit on the side of the case would get it going again. most of the times it seemed that the second hand would stop again at roughly the same spot.

Have you thought of maybe servicing the watch yourself? Mine i serviced myself after watching youtube videos and documenting every move I make. It’s actually easy if no parts is broken and the pivots just need oiling. I think i have read a few times now complaints that this novement comes bone dry from the factory.

That's why my CrPO is actually at watchsmith to be serviced. Ithink, these bucks are invested well.

Mine, with also 4 months and no service, does the same -2/+1s day (depending on the position).

I think this is a very robust and reliable movement.
I am lucky to have one that runs so precisely, from factory, but I know that someday I will have to have it serviced.

Or I can wait some time and then buy another one and send it directly to someone like santre22 to have it serviced before starting using it :)

But for now there's no need.

Cheers

santre22 maybe you have this gear?

Sorry that's one of the custom gears that connects the two barrels. I think it will be very hard to find a replacement for it.

It looks like it's the axle that broke right under the wheel. So maybe it will be possible to drill out the old axle and then make a new in the lathe and rivet back the wheel on it. But that it's quite amount of work and it need both high skills and fine machines/tools to do it.

Badly.. by the way the clock still going and still keep good time.
If you are referring to the watch I serviced in this thread it's still running strong. It gains a little more now than right after service so it's currently running at +3 to 4 seconds a day in average.

No, i’m talking about my watch with broken gear)) it works. The gear, as i can see, was pressed between parts of movement ant is is ok.

Had my PO GMT serviced by Strodda last month. He said it looked "dry." It is now +/-2 sec/day, and I love it! It's been on my wrist or the winder for 2 weeks now and I haven't had to adjust it yet!

Just wanted to give some reputation to the TO for that awesome documentation. I know how much work those illustrations take. Kudos to you!

This thread saved me a trip to the watch maker. The glued washer came loose on my PO GMT.

Does anyone know if this guide applies to the VSF 8900 movement as well? From pictures they seem very similar.
