Hi everyone,

I'm no experienced in reps world, I'm doing many researches in Omega RWI section in order to understand what could be the best solution for a LMPO 42mm or a 39,5 CrPO which I'm gonna buy.

Looking into VSF models I've found some watches with ETA's clone ( 2836 or 2892) and some others with calibers called ASIA Clone 8500 or 8800 or 8900.

Are they only "aestethic variations" made on Eta clones 2893 or 2836 or 2824 ( to give a more genuine aspect ) or are they some different movements?

Thanks a lot for your replies

There's the decorated ETA-clones and the superclone 8800's. The superclone is a pretty decent movement, not entirely 1/1 but still quite close. The LMPO you're looking for however isn't available with the superclone movement, it'll be a decorated ETA 2892 or 2824. Same for the 39.5 CrPO.

None, even 'superclones' have a co-axial escapement. You can also see that the jewel on the fake balance bridge does not center properly with the balance wheel. Even 'superclone' 8800 movement is not what they claim. Still not the worst thing to come out with the fakes. VSF do a much more impressive job with the clone VS3235, which has better accuracy and power reserve than the clone VS8800.
