How’s it going everyone? Hope you are all doing well. This particular watch (please see attached photo) caught my eye and I have been browsing TD’s websites in search of this particular piece but so far, only Andrew from Trustytime has it. QC pics in his site shows the dial to be a lot lighter in color. I was wondering if any of you here have purchased it before. Thanks a lot!
Hi,
I bought it for a friend’s wife and it looks cool. A little bit small from my point of view but nice. If your GF/wife has a really runny wrist, go with it!
I ordered from Andrew for my wife. I can only look at the clock on Tuesday. Then contact me
I purchased this watch from Andrew for my wife near the end of June. It's a lovely watch and keeps excellent time.
A major problem is that it does NOT have enough reserve to continue running overnight. Manual winding and wearing all day will always result in it stopping around 4.00am. The only way we can keep it running is to put it on the winder overnight - which we do - except if I forget and then it stops around 4.00am and needs to be re-set etc etc.
The rotor appears to function as it should - freely rolling back and forth as the watch is rotated. I understand the the 8800 movement is a decorated 2824 which should be reliable - often described as a workhorse.
I'm at a crossroads as to whether to invest more $$ to have it serviced taking a chance it would correct the problem or just replace it with a Rolex Oyster 34mm with a true 2824 movement.
Antp5 if you do proceed with a purchase I wish you better luck than mine and would also appreciate hearing about your experience.
I'd really appreciate hearing from Javiol and xxxAlexxxx
for your experiences with this watch.
Thanks all.
