Dropped by Omega to check out the Gen. I was quite surprised by how much thicker the bezel insert numerals were compared to my V2. Never really noticed such a difference in other comparison shots. Possibly batch variations within Gen? The V3/V4 is certainly more accurate, but the difference really surprised me!

I think the gen has always been the same. The boutique lighting can play a part to make the numbers stand out more. Nonetheless its certainly thicker than the V2 numbers. Though its perhaps not really obvious unless seen with the gen beside it like this:

Great picture for comparison. Do you have a side by side pic of the case backs too please?

Side by side it's obvious. But it would bother me (but I am everything but a nitpicker). People tend to differ....

Perhaps. I've had and worn mine regularly for over a year now... I'm good and it has never bothered me

It’s an awesome watch but the milky crystal is a deal breaker for me....everything else might as well be gen as far as I or anyone I know could tell.

Have ordered the ORF to see if the xtal is better

I don’t think it’s obvious at all, specially in person.. lighting and positioning of watch affect a photo. The VSF V4 is definitely next level..

I still own VSF version 2 of this watch... will compare them directly when receive. I have decided to pick up this GMF version for three reasons:
- single sided purple AR on inside on crystal (as per gen) - VSF's version doesn't have any...
- thicker, more gen-like bracelet
- way better lume on bezel, as per gen (VSF's version 2 was lacking here....)

...and I do hope for better bezel fitment since VSF's one was so loose and rattling.

Have you recieved your GMF version of the watch yet? I'm eagerly awaiting the comparison between the 2 versions.

The Spectre Seamaster 300 is probably the only 007 Omega that has gained value over the years. A used one now cost more than it did at retail. Whether the No Time To Die watch would increase in value, only time will tell. But it isn't a limited edition like the Spectre one, so maybe that will play a part in increasing or decreasing in value over the coming years.

Sorry not true, paid 2k for my Planet Ocean Casino Royale now going for 4k plus, and the 40th Anniversary i paid 1k now going for 3k plus. Bond watches have shot up in 2nd hand price over the past 10 years. as for NTTD if you have seem the film, you will know the "film version" of the Gen will be become iconic and unique compared to any other Bond watch. As for not being a LE makes sense now, as the post above said "seem the film now want the watch" i also think there could be a V5 in the future, if the film is as successful as it is in the UK, a lot of people saying it's the Best Bond film ever.

I guess only time will tell. No pun intended. But it will be a long while before we know. As the watch isn't a limited edition, it will easily be available from Omega until the next Bond movie comes around which would be what, another 2 or 3 years? Only then will Omega focus on another new Bond watch and cease production on the current NTTD watch. So for now and over the next few years, to pay more than what Omega would be selling it for elsewhere would be ridiculous since it is widely available at boutiques and AD's. And AD's that sells it will even give you a discount for it.

After seeing the movie, even though its a rep, I'm grateful I have the watch. A collectible piece of the movie that I can relive each time I see it. And maybe who knows, since the watch will be around at Omega for a few years, I might just save up for the gen.

For now the rep is just as awesome to have...

definitely a mark on bezel below 15 min mark. could be a hair but its in every pic. so hopefully thats not a scratch

Omega put an Aluminum bezel so it can fade/scratch easily in order for it to age faster and have that Vintage look/feel. It could just be a dust particle, this GF looks terrible though compared to VSF.

oh ok I'll have to look at my Dads Gen closer. I missed that it was Alu. wierd though if it was my QC pictures I still would RL it for a scratch on bezel, aluminum or not!

Terrible? How so? I was thinking it looked ok, but maybe my eye isn't trained to the flaws on this model.
