As far as I know, this model is not NWBIG, so there are possibly several flaws. I stopped looking at PO with the previous generation - these newer ones look (to me only, I am sure) like they came bundled in a cereal box. I did pay some attention to these reps when they came out a few years ago.

I am not sure, but mechanisms from this factory were at least until recently based on Miyota 8205 which is not a movement I am comfortable with (21500 bph, no hacking, hard to regulate). If this particular model is based on 2836 then ok (although if someone could tell me how to remove the stem from these, I would really appreciate it). I gather that bezel insert is off from gen too. You are paying about 5% of the gen price, though. I have a gen PO GMT and a rep one. They are really hard to tell apart, until you look at the display back. Then it is quite clear which is gen and which isn’t.

Be aware that you might catch a lot of flak for asking such generic questions which might make it appear as if you did not bother to read the relevant Omega threads on this forum.

These come with their own custom vsf movement with a black balance and keep great time I never had to regulate my first planet ocean I purchased in May and it still runs about +1 sec in 24 hours and really is antimagnetic but on the down side parts are gonna be hard to get and a watch smith that knows how to work on the 8900 Movement will be also

Wouldn't you educate yourself BEFORE purchasing ? I guess that would make way too much sense.

Yeah. Tried to sneak this in and hope to get some common QC advice since I helped a friend purchase it. He doesn’t care about any of that stuff(I unfortunately do and couldn’t find any when brief searching on this exact model)

Sorry guys and thanks for the replies though!

If you go with Lucy as a TD she is pretty picky she goes over them with a macro lens and then does her own tests and rejects the watches before I get a chance to see them and after she accepts the watch she sends it to her local watch guy to clean it then she shows me the QC pictures (which is the best she can get). You have to be patient and just wait but it will be worth it in the long run.

With this 43.5 po being a v2. Did they update the bezel with flush numbers? That was really the one thing that was off with this model?

Ya I don’t know yet it’s still in transit but on the other hand I rather have etched ceramic bezel than possible have the numbers rubbing off

Nearer than you think
there literally is an enormous thread that talks about all the flaws and all the small nit picks of this watch... why don't you read that?

Did not know this. Tried searching for this model without any success. Maybe its the mobile app functionality or the fact that I’m stupid. (Perhaps a combination?)

But I do appreciate all the help I have got!

And would be super glad if you linked me the correct thread to talk about it. Then we can forget about this one.

Have a good weekend!

Hi I purchased a 43.5 ceramic 600m planet ocean and the bezel is not perfect but the movement keeps great time .......

I was quite interested in one of these. The rubber insert that isn't quite centered is a little niggle on the's watches. It may be my eyes but, your number one just isn't sitting right? The top needs pushing to the right or the bottom need kicking to the left. It's not 90° to the horizontal of the bottom of the number two? And it's set higher of the horizontal..

Besides my eye sight isn’t that good anyway and I’m not trying to pass it off as gen I openly tell people it’s a rep . Then people ask where they can get one LOL.

....

Will it pe possible for you to take few side by side comparison pics for us? I am really interested in the GMT version, the black one though, nevertheless saw there is now V2 and wonder if it's better, much better!? And it will help to know which TD, or not, you got that piece from. Appreciate.
